good morning! I stayed up to an impossible hour reading The Beach.  Which is so much better than the movie (isn’t that always the way?).  I could say it’s ‘research’ for this beachy fashion job I am doing, but we all know the truth.   This sketch has nothing to do with beaches at all.

I stayed up to an impossible hour reading The Beach.  Which is so much better than the movie (isn’t that always the way?).  I could say it’s ‘research’ for this beachy fashion job I am doing, but we all know the truth.   This sketch has nothing to do with beaches at all.

this is one of my favourite sketches of 2011. The different shots of the same girl came together more like a retro movie poster (and less like a psychotic jumble that is regularly featured in my sketchbooks).   I like the paris theme - I know it’s cliche, but Paris is such a great thing to draw - it’s girly, metropolitan, and cool ( all my favourite). xo k
